Easter really is just around the corner.
The hot cross buns and chocolate eggs have been in the supermarkets for weeks already, and pancake day is just a couple of Tuesdays away - so getting in now and sorting out some alternative Easter gifts is not such a bad idea.
You could get baking and whip up a batch of our Brownies from scratch and hand out the chocolatey goodness to your friends and family OR you could get some jars of the Squidgy Chocolate Brownie Mix and let them do the easy baking for themselves.
We’ve been working on this recipe for more than fifteen years.
We’ve come up with a good combination of fudgy chocolatey centre and crusty top
with a minimum of fuss.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
Line a 20 x 20 cm baking tin with non-stick paper.
50g cocoa powder
100g plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
125g melted butter
Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix until well combined.
Pour batter into lined baking tin and place in pre-heated oven.
Bake for 45-60 minutes. The brownie is cooked when a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
